Pooltime Ale is a refreshing Belgian-inspired Wheat Ale with light clove notes. The truly distinguishing feature is the use of 100% Montmorency tart cherries grown in the Traverse City region of Michigan. These cherries add a subtle tartness and bright counterpoint to the other flavors, enhancing Pooltime’s fruity character and making it the perfect beer for all summer activities.

Slightly pink tinted light copper coloured body with a nice four centimetre tall tan head on top. Aroma of cherries, fake sugar, light wheat, some yeast and a touch of coriander seed freshness. Light-bodied; Strong wheatie flavours with a definitely cherry kick and fruity finish, along with some grass, coriander seed, yeast and a bit of the hops are noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows some wheat, yeast, light funk, along with the coriander seed and cherry freshness that comes near the end. Overall, a nice and easy-drinking wheat beer with a lot of cherry flavours and a bit of a fresh coriander seed note as well. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 03-December-2016 for US$2,25 sampled at home in Washington on 11-May-2017.

Groundhog day, 6 more weeks of winter? Bullshit. My can says poolside ale, try searching for this in the RB database and you won’t find this can. Can/label is one of my favorite color, yeah, the Caribbean blue but not the red. Reminds me of the beach or a swimming pool, either one, one of my favorite places. Smell is mild almost undetectable fruit perfume. No hint of cherry in the smell or look of this in a glass. First taste tho, yields a big fruit twisting unique cherry thang penetrating your life. Cherry juice or something really comes thru, yes its there, whew. Approaches artificial tho I think its not. Not sure if I like the clove attributes but I guess its there. Why clove it? It distracts from the purity of the cherry beery combined with the witbier. Some sizzle in the end but its overwhelmed by the sweet fruity impact and clove, I think.

Can: Fecal rubber and berry nose. Cloudy orange, medium head, good retention and lacing. Cherry, lemon. Cardboard finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. Enjoyable, but more as an American fruit beer than any kind of Belgian style beer.

Pour is a clear reddish with a average white head. Aroma is a very slight cherry with some wheat malt. Flavor is a more noticable bitter cherry but not much else. Some chewy wheat malt is present but nothing to add to the score. This was ok at best, I was hoping for a strong blast of cherry and this was more like a wheat beer with a few cherries adeed.

$2.35 can from Wine Warehouse. Pours a pinkish-orange with a large foamy off-white head. Aroma of bitter cherry, banana, yeast, and lemon. Taste is sweeter than I imagined. Cherry up front - not bitter - followed by banana, clove, honey... very interesting, Must say I am enjoying this one.

Can. Lactic cherry wheat malt and straw aroma. Cloudy dark amber with nice light tan head. Moderately sweet cherry, milk, toffee malt, and very lightly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Grew on me as I drank more.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on one of the hottest days of the year. Appearance is a bright cherry hue with a rich white head, looks like fruit juice. Aroma is very faint, doesnt smell like much. Taste is pretty good, carbonated, light cherry tart, light Belgian yeast. Its decent
