On tap at High Water, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out iodine, dry roasted malt and lots of medium roast coffee. Flavour is moderately roasted, with a solid roasted malt base, plenty of dry coffee on the finish. Not the most complex coffee stout out there, but it's tasty enough and well put together.

Bomber at 7.5% ABV from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours very drk brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of coffee with chocolate notes. Med body or so. Flavor is more chocolate than coffee - combo is earthy bitter. Toasty dark malt as well. Pretty dry; pretty bitter overall. Good stuff.
