Our newest hoppy American pale ale, Skimpy Sparrow, is the latest edition in our "Small Bird Series" of lower ABV, draft-only offerings. The nose is an intense, complex fusion of pineapple, grapefruit pith, and woodsy hop aromatics. Citrus rind, grape jam, and lemon fill out the flavor profile, with a firm and long-lasting bitterness. Very dry and effervescent, light to medium bodied.

Draft at. Rewound. Bright hazy yellow Orange creamsicle colored. Nose is grapefruit rind and pine. Tastes of light pine, oranges, grapefruit, white wine. Chewy and tasty. Light and sessionabke without dumb session ipa feel.

Pours a hazy gold from a can. Light citrus and malty aroma and flavor. Pretty good beer.

Can, from the source. Pours extremely hazy dark yellow with small foamy off-white head, faint citrus-mango aroma, adequate carbonation, mildly bitter citrus-mango taste, smooth-thin body, longish finish. Nice but a bit colorless, lacking much flavor.

Can sample at a tasting at rayaron's place. Murky yellow. Fruity green oniony hops, a bit vegetal, sweetish, bitterish finish. OK.

Can: Poured a deep cloudy/hazy yellow color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dank hoppy notes with some tropical fruit and some pineapple undertones. Taste is also dominated by huge floral undertones notes of tropical fruits with some pineapple notes and light residual sugar notes with a dry finish. Body is full with good carbonation. Super enjoyable APA with ton of hops flavours.

Can from the source enjoyed at the hotel. Hazy yellow orange color with white head. Light malty and moderate to heavly hoppy, quite fruity, citrus and tropical fruits, grass notes. Sweet and light to moderate bitter, fruity taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Level 42 botteshare. Thanks to Leighton. Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, mildly sweet. Nice tropical fruits - pineapple and mango most evident. Spicy pine. Touch of sherbet. Light dry finish. Very nice but I was kinda startled by the other ratings going on around me.

Bottle shared at level 42 Canary wharf tasting. 11/07/2016. Huge thanks to Leighton and Phil for this one. A hazed clouded yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is lovely juicy tropical peach and mango, dank hop, spicy hop. Flavour is composed of earthy grainy, super juicy mango, peach, melon, grainy. Palate is light grainy, refreshing, moderate carbonation. Superb beer.
