Our latest Double IPA serves as a Public Service Announcement to warn against the Boston phenomenon of lodging a box truck under a low clearance overpass on Storrow Drive. While it's a sporadic phenomenon that can snarl traffic for hours, Storrow Drive claims most of its victims during college move in weekend, typically around Labor Day. Be sure to heed the Low Headroom Warnings at the Storrow Drive entry points!

Storrowed Double IPA presents as a deeply hazy, warm yellow/orange hue. Leading with a dank nose of sweaty pineapple, mangosteen, and stone fruit and follows with intensely juicy flavors of overripe mango, pear flesh, notes of grapefruit pith, and a background hit of raw sugar. That hint of sweetness is balanced by low bitterness to round out Storrowed as a smooth, delicious, drinkable Double IPA.

Canned 2/2/18, drunk 2/3 and 2/28/18.
Heavily hazy, deep maize-golden. Small white head showing low retention.
Graham cracker and honey fills out a succulently green, citrusy nose with nectarine and pine on the end. Clean and moderately juicy, though definitely some resin in the mix.
Nicely juicy in the mouth with mango, passion fruit and pineapple tropical fruit notes keeping things bright and interesting. Some typical Trillium-like twang and strong ester with moderate pine and bitterness throughout. Soft texture, however, with a great malt suppleness that completely saves the day and provides a great canvas for the juiciness to really shine as it mixes with the malt.
The fresh can was undrinkably green, resinous and bitter and it needed every bit of the almost four weeks that I let the second can sit in the fridge. But it really did evolve in to something great.

Can, by way of a trade. Milkshake gold. Swirl of dense, white head. Nose has a stunning mix of pulped grapefruit and ripened citrus, with estery, verging on furry, super ripe stone fruit. Taste is punchy, full on pithy, oily citrus bitterness, with just enough sweetness on the lips to keep a good balance. Fizzy grapefruit juice mouthfeel. Beautifully balanced fruity esters to finish. No point elaborating too much. This is world class hop shizzle.

One month old can at home thanks to Dana!! Hazy yellow orange color with off white head. Heavy hoppy and light malty aroma, fruity, stone and tropical fruits, light dank grassy and piney. Light to moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter taste like aroma with more malty bitter grassy notes. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

16 oz. can, shared by Stacey. Can dated: 2-2-18 with it stamped "Not enough Headroom" on the bottom. Nose shows me mild papaya, mango and a healthy dose of pale malt. Taste is loaded with tropical hints (papaya, mango, stone fruit) malt backbone is lightly bready with pilsner malt....light grassy bitter in the end. Finishes semi-dry with traces of grass.

The oats give it a fuller body / mouthfeel. The bitterness almost is balanced by the malt. (Still lets you know it is an IPA) Again, exactly what I expect from this brewery, very good.

Looks like a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice! Hazy, orange-yellow, with almost no head. Aromas of tropical and citrus fruit. Flavors are tropical and citrus fruits, with a slight sweetness and a nice hit of hop-pine bite in the finish. Top notch stuff.

Pours deep murky mango into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Mango and pineapple aromas. Sharp with sweet hot caramel, pineapple and mango upfront turning to a dry pith finish.
