Our latest Double IPA serves as a Public Service Announcement to warn against the Boston phenomenon of lodging a box truck under a low clearance overpass on Storrow Drive. While it's a sporadic phenomenon that can snarl traffic for hours, Storrow Drive claims most of its victims during college move in weekend, typically around Labor Day. Be sure to heed the Low Headroom Warnings at the Storrow Drive entry points!
Storrowed Double IPA presents as a deeply hazy, warm yellow/orange hue. Leading with a dank nose of sweaty pineapple, mangosteen, and stone fruit and follows with intensely juicy flavors of overripe mango, pear flesh, notes of grapefruit pith, and a background hit of raw sugar. That hint of sweetness is balanced by low bitterness to round out Storrowed as a smooth, delicious, drinkable Double IPA.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: milky/cloudy burnt yelllow color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma,: various stone fruits, mango and some citrusy hop scents, mild clean malts
Flavor: pure bittersweet juiciness melting into the malts very well, finishes crisp and tropically fruity
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, very smooth along the tongue
Overall: an extremely well done NEIPA I would love to have again.

This is probably one of the better of the Trilliums I had today at the Churchkey tap takeover event. Lots of hops flavour on the nose--pineapple, unripe papaya and tangerine. Pours murky yellow with pretty good head and lacing. Light hop tang finish. Nicely done.

Rated at Penthouse Platinum Lounge - Pien Edition. Sweetish and slightly juicy with some tropical notes, pine, grapefruit and mango. A bit heavy but quite fruity

Syrupy underbelly. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Lazy fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. [No idea what my final sentence says]

Can shared in Hazlemere - cheers to Dave. Pours milky yellow-gold with a small, foamy white head. Medium sweet flavour, some light astringency, pale grains, lemon rind, pine needles. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, oddly strong bitterness, more citrus peel. Not bad.
