22 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled in 7/2017. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, roasted hazelnut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, bourbon/cinnamon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, roasted hazelnut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with light notes of molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, roast, charred bitterness; and cinnamon/bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, roasted hazelnut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark bread/crust, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, bourbon/cinnamon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roasted bitter/sweet, and cinnamon/bourbon/oak spiciness balance; with no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spiciness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth of 12%, with no lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is an amazing barrel aged flavored imperial stout. All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, bourbon/cinnamon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV, with the mildly bitter/tannic/drying finish. Amazingly soft/silky feel for the ABV. Perfectly balanced super rich malts, hazelnuts, and bourbon/cinnamon barrel presence/integration. Mild earthy hops/fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example as expected. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Bottle shared at Andrew's B-day bash. Pours a pitch black with small brown head that dissipates. Lots of wood, cinnnamon stick and nutmeg on the nose. As it warms cacao nib, vanilla oak come out. Smooth and decadent. Fairly thick bodied with a vanilla oak and cinnamon lingering on the finish.

Bottle from Ditlove Dark brown pour, tiny ring of head . Slick. Hazelnuts first on the aroma, chocolate. Cinnamon becomes more prominent in the taste. Mild sweetness, velvety smooth. Kind of milky too.
