Worlds better than the Efes Xtra I choked back, but that’s setting a pretty low bar. Some malt aroma and the unfiltered vibe is a nice touch. I’ll see how this stacks against the regular version. Bottle with peel off cap drank in a plastic bag by the Hagia Sofia. Culture....

Bottle from a Süpermarket in Girne, Turkish occupied northern part of Cyprus 🇹🇷. The beer smells grainy-sweetish. The beginning is neutral watery and grainy sweetish. Not much aroma in total. Grainy sweetish aftertaste, round and mild. Sessionable, but a bit grainy-sweetish.

Herber Antrunk mit mildem Getreide. Leider schnell wässrig werdend, ab dem Mittelteil noch ein wenig herb, kaum hopfig, zum Schluss trockenes Getreide. Erfrischend, mehr nicht. 10/8/7/5/7/6

Medium white head. Clear pale yellow body with light carbonation. Strawy buttery aroma with grain notes. Sweetish buttery caramel taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Sweetish papery caramel aftertaste with dusty buttery wet straw notes. Vague acidity in background. When you analyze it it sounds awful. When you just drink it it’s kind of ok. Didn’t finish it. (0.5l bottle, gift from wife.)
