From tap at the brewery. Black color with off white head. Roasted malty aroma, cookie, bread, chocolate, licorice.Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate licorice aroma. Roasted malty chocolate licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

[1/26/17] Draught at Third Street Aleworks in Santa Rosa. Black with a tan head. Aroma of roast, licorice, hops, some chocolate. Bittersweet flavor with licorice, roast, some chocolate.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, cracker malt. Medium body, cracker, roast, bitter dry finish, good.
