From tap at the brewery. Dark brown almost black color with light beige head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, coffee, licorice, vanilla. Moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter taste. almost medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty vanilla chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and vanilla flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and vanilla finish.

[1/26/17] Draught at Third Street Aleworks in Santa Rosa. Dark brown to black. Roast, licorice, light alcoholic note, vanilla. Bittersweetish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is vanilla bean, roast, cocoa. Medium body, vanilla, cocoa, dry roast finish, good.
