This is our special Valentine’s Day beer! It is brewed once a year and available a little before and after Valentine’s Day. It’s fruity and spicy from the Belgian yeast, and a nice, lingering and flavorful finish.

From tap at the brewery. dark brown to black color with light beige head. Malty, hoppy and yeasty aroma, grainy, bread, caramel, dark dried fruits. Light sweet and light bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy weak yeasty aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear darkish brown. Aroma is pleasant but light hops. Body is medium, with a hearty sweetness, almost like soft roast aromas. Must be darker malts. Very soft carbonation, and it helps. A good take on the Belgian Ale.

Draft sample at the brewpub, Santa Rosa. Dark amber brown coloured pour with a sticky lasting beige head. Aroma is spicy red fruit, cakey and toffee malts, little wood. Flavour is composed of nutty toasted malts, red berry, little raisin, just a hint of roast. Palate is semi sweet, frothy, moderate carbonation. Lingering berry and cake. Hint of spice.

Draught at Toronado SF. Opaque black liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, light ash, toast and light grain. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of licorice, coffee and wood. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Solid.

Draft at Toronado SF. Pours deep brown-black with a creamy tan head. Light Belgian yeast in the nose, light roast, char. Ightbready-medium sweet flavor with ashy roast, scorched earth, baking cocoa, some leathery dried fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lingering ash. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper with small beige head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roast, raisin, licorice. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, light dry finish, good.
