Shared 750ml bottle. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Nose is very tart fruit. Taste is tart fruit, oak, floral notes, vinous and acidic. Picking up some of the orange zest at the finish. Very sour. Somewhat one-dimensional, but very good nonetheless.

Tasting at Matt’s; growler; 5.4% ABV
Hazy golden color, no head. Nice aroma, vinous acidity. Massive acidity with no grace, filtered lemon juice, not much complexity, no flaws though; astringent in the final.
Pretentious and purposeless.

Light bronze, touch of haze. No head. Lots of lactic tartness on the nose, with a touch of blueberry. Very tart...instant heartburn sort of beer. Touch of berry and a touch of brett. Not much complexity, though, just an intense tartness that doesn’t let up.

Growler, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of oak barrel character upfront, followed by stone fruits, some orange peel and acidic citrus character. Flavour is very oaky and acidic, with lots of oak barrel upfront followed by puckering acidity that wears away the enamel, followed by orange peel and a little of the rose hips. Puckering acidity that is a bit much, making it a bit unpleasant. Decent.

From tap at the brewery. Almost clear golden amber color with no head. Malty and yeasty aroma, caramel, bread, funky, citrusy fruity, floral - herbal - spicy, hibiscus (ok most probably it was the rose hips) wood. Acetic, sour taste. Light to medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours lightly cloudy amber. Aroma is rosehip and orange peel, some barrel and funk, but more in the background. Body is medium, quite sour, really tart, some sweetness, with a soft carbonation. Has edges and corners. Sweet palate again, but also sour and a bit stingy. Could be a bit rounder. Still good.

On tap at Rare Barrel. It pours a lightly hazed yellow color with a white head. The aroma is nice with wheat, lemon and subtle notes of sweet hibiscus and orange. The flavor is pleasant as well with tart oranges and hints of lemon and hibiscus. A bit more reserved than some of their other acid bombs, and I like it.
