[1/27/17] Draught at Faction Brewing in Alameda. Black. Aroma of roast, coffee, some dark chocolate, smoky note. Sweet flavor with chocolate, roast, coffee, alcoholic note.

From tap at the brewery. Dark brown color with beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, chocolate, coffee, smoked notes. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

4 oz pour on draft at Faction during the RateBeer Best 2017 bus tour. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of light smoke, oak, caramel, chocolate. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, light smoke, malt. Medium body with a dry finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is wood, roast, cocoa, smoke. Medium body, smoke, wood, ash, boozy, nice dry finish, very good.
