Our Porter owes its character (and color) to the specialty dark malts, three of which are used in our recipe! This is a beer of dark-brown color, with ruby hues, good translucence and cream foam. Taste is complex and layered but gives predominance to the malt at the expense of hops.
Ingredients: water, pale, dark and black malts, 2 different types of hops, brewer's yeast;
Colour: dark brown;
Aroma: Caramel, chocolate, hint of roasted nuts;
Mouthfeel: rich, slightly bitter texture, hint of peatiness, medium-dry finish;
Body: Medium body and carbonation;
Serving Temperature: 7-12 degrees Celsius;
Food Pairing: A variety of meats (steak, ribs) and sweet cheeses

Bottle at a tasting. Quite classic porter. Caramelly, toffeeish. Rather sweet, though there is light balancing bitterness. No deep roast though. Good.

Keg at Nosferatu - Sofia. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy tan head. Mellow roast in the nose, some dry cocoa, a little earth. Light-medium sweet flavour with mild char, bittersweet cocoa, milk chocolate. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, some burnt toast, cocoa, mellow scorched earth bitterness, tobacco. Easy drinking.

SAMPLE 75 ml at tasting. Burnt grain husks or sun-flower seed shells, chicory, dirty bitterness. Hardly a porter.
