This is a brew loosely based on the "Saison" style (which literally means “seasonal beer”) popular not only in Belgium but also with the craft brewers the world over. We too count among its fans because this style allows us quite a lot of “creative freedom” regarding the possible combinations of malt, hops and spices. The characteristic taste and somewhat dry finish are caused by the use of original Belgian yeast and specific fermentation technology.
The Glarus Saison ale is ideal for the warm weather – the fruit notes and the slightly peppery taste will refresh and invigorate you, while the dry finish will help reduce your thirst.
Ingredients: water, 4 types of malt, 2 types of hops, cardamom, coriander, orange peel, Belgian brewer’s yeast;
Color: dark-golden;
Aroma: delicate, with the hint of exotic spices and oranges;
Mouthfeel: corresponding to the aroma, mild alcohol, dry finish;
Body: medium-high;
Recommended serving temperature: 7-8 degrees Celsius;
Food pairing: grill, cheeses, summer dishes

50cl bottle in Plovdiv pours a clear dark gold with some creamy, white head. Nose is sweet with melon and bubblegum, very estery, honey too. Flavor is also quite sweet with honey, very ripe melon, bubblegum, chewed bubblegum. Finishes a little slick.
