Ein fantastisches Bier, über das sich jeder Weizenbier-Freund sehr freuen wird. Durch die besondere Hefe wird unser naturtrübes, goldgelbes Weizen besonders fruchtig. Es steigen Noten von Bananen und Zitrus und ein leichter Hauch Nelke in die Nase, die sich auch im Antrunk durchziehen. Typisch für ein Weizenbier. Der Abgang ist ebenfalls eher süßlich dominiert. Seine Spritzigkeit macht das Bier zu einem idealen Begleiter im Sommer oder zu leichten Speisen.

Bottle (trade with Koelschtrinker). Sweet banana/orange and wheat malt aroma - light hint of clove. Cloudy yellow-tan color with small head. Sour wheat malt, banana, and clove flavor. A very nice drinkable Hefe.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Aroma like champagne. Tastes good, but too less fruity. Nevertheless very drinkable. An average hefeweizen.

(swing top bottle, with thanks to Koelschtrinker) Cloudy, yellow colour with a short frothy white head. Yeasty, moderately sweet and slightly acidic wheat-malty aroma with notes of banana and citrus, accompanied by vanilla phenols and light notes of cloves. Light-sweet flavour, light body impression with a refreshing carbonation. Moderate wheat-character with fruity notes and restrained phenols, what I appreciate; slightly sweet and sour, slim wheaty finish. Decent Hefeweizen “vun Kölle”.

Flip-top bottle: Pale golden, slightly hazy and orangey, small foamy layer; fruity nose - yes - bananas and cloves, but also bready and a bit tart; sweetish, almost bitter flavour, light bodied; short sweet fruity finish with a light tartness and a light, but distinctive and lingering bitterness. An unusual, but nevertheless pleasant Weizen............

Das Aussehen ist erst einmal nicht der Knaller, die Schaumkrone ist für ein Weizen lächerlich. Der Geschmack allerdings überzeugt ein wenig mehr, es beginnt mit einem recht fruchtigen Aroma, dass zum Mittelteil hin abschwächt und einem mittelhopfigen Aroma weicht. Insgesamt ist das Bier recht mild, im Nachgeschmack leider Gottes aber auch wässrig. Ein recht einfaches Weizen, dass ich mir im Sommer trotzdem gut vorstellen kann. Aber wohl nur im Sommer.
