Sampled from draft @ BAF @ 2017. Black color. Brown head. Aroma's: roasty, fruit, alcohol. Retronasal it's (red) fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, a bit fruity sour. Medium bodied. Long finish, roasted, moderate bitter.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ BAF 2017. Black, tanned head. Nose is herbal weirdly bitter herbal. Taste is thin herbal roast, bark, bitter grainy chocolate, dark fruit, grainy bitter, bit thin. Not terrible but poor definitely for an RIS.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a thick and brown head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Bitter, roasted. dsrk malty. Dense deep malt. Bitter and dark roasted finish.

Tap at Kaapse festival. Murky dark brown with beige head. Coffee, light red berries, dusty roasted malts, ash, old chocolate, some light nuts. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with soft feel.

Draft at Kaapse 3 year anniversary festival. Cloudy brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, overripe dark fruits, caramel. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Kaapse 3rd Anniversary. Really dark brown with cream tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate and caramel malts. Toffee, dark fudge, licorice, butterscotch, hop pellet ground bitter, salmiak. Big sweet and moderate bitter, teeniest pinch of salt. Over medium body, soft carbonation.
