The secret of a good lager is in the high quality ingredients and the appropriate time of fermenting. This lager was made according to the 1516 Bavarian beer purity law: it only contains water, barley malt, hops and beer yeast. During the fermenting that can last up to a few weeks the flavours are mixed in a harmonic way.

pale golden colour, minimal white head; some hoppy aroma; taste of hoppy bitterness and intensive carbonation; a bit watery which is not a surprise in the light of the low balling (10.5); better than expected, though far from the best of either the brewery, or the category (ie lager)

Draught at Főzdefeszt III, Budapest as Rizmajer Vilagos. Pale yellow coloured, small white head, hint of cereals in the nose. Weak malty, light grainy and bready with short and a bit salty finish. Pretty weak overall.

2025 rerate:
On tap at Rizmajer Móricz, thx Vojta! Clearish golden body, white. Light floral, honeyish aroma, clean. Lean clean soft honeyish, somewhat floral taste, low bitterness. Quite drinkable, nice!

At the F-Fest, possibly as the Vilagos. Vaguely hazy yellow-golden beer, small white head. Very light dusty nose. Honeyish grainy taste, actually balanced and not terrible. Compared to some we’ve had at least. 6/5/5/4/5

--- Beer merged from original tick of Light Lager on 01 Dec 2019 at 17:43 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5. Bottled. Bought this beer buy a suburban garage brewer, but was never able to figure out where else the beer was distributed. It poured clear pale golden with brief head. The aroma was buttery with a light cellary touch. The body was light-medium and it was fairly sweet with notes of apple. Low bitterness. Except for being microbrewed it does not spark much interest.
