On tap in Zagreb-Croatia (ciao Mortlach, bevi!). Pours brownish filtered color close to filtered coffee, medium ivory cap. Nose: commercial orientation with caramel and sugar bread. Mouth: extra carbo, a bit peppery and mineral, sweet extract of syrup. Not my orientation but not bad too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Very dark brown, with lots of dark tan head.
Aroma: Malt, slightly roasted.
Taste: Nice medium malt, roasted. Slight sweetness. Ok.

Bottle. Aroma lightstruck and that is about that. Clear dark brown colour. Taste is also mostly skunked lightstruck. Some faint coffee in the finish. Meh.

Bottle. Dark red brown color with huge off-white head. Ugly aroma of caramel, diacetyl, roasted malt. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, notes of chocolate.

Darkish brown colored, medium tan lasting head. Aroma is not very strong, some caramel, nuts and honey. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, quite strong nuttiness and a choco roasty finish. Medium to low bodied, medium carbonation, a bit of honey like viscosity. I don’t understand all the hate, although I always drink it on tap... maybe I’ll update after a bottled trial.

Many thanks to kevnic2008. Smooth malty beginning. Quite dry and roasted. Nice. Hints of smooth bitterness, fresh, easy to drink with still deepness there. The aftertaste is roasted-dry, not too bitter, smooth without much sweetness. Nice!

0.5l bottle. Deep orange body, off-white head. Aroma of grains with some roasted malts. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Grainy with notes of roasted malts and some chocolate maybe. I can’t really get the caramel or any dark fruits that I prefer to have in a dunkel. Not terrible or anything, but not really my cup of tea.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with medium frothy light brown head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of mild roasted malt, nuts, caramel and cereals. Taste starts with a bit artificial caramelly sweetness, follows by more toasted than roasted maltiness, light spicy mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Decent, but without any superlatives...

On tap at Arena, Zagreb. Pours dark brown with beige head. Roasted malts and hint of caramel. Watery. Lacking in almost every aspect. A lot of people seem to like it, but I was very disappointed with this. I still have to try bottled version, there is a chance drought version wasn’t in too good condition.

I was expecting a lot from this new product, especially considering their ordinary lager is one of my favourites. But... Pours with a nice dark brown color and a small head. The aroma is basically hoppy with only a tiny amount of some roasted malts. The taste is almost exactly like the ordinary lager’s, the only difference is there’s some roastiness in the aftertaste. It’s not a bad beer, but it’s nothing different from the pale lager. Where is the malt, roasted feel, caramel.... There’s a lot of room to improve.
