At a tasting, thanks MarkoNM, smallish head, clear dark orange color with light brown hues, aroma of honey and fruit drops, flavor of pumpernickel bread and honey drops, very light bitterness. Much too old.

At Sir William’s because I couldn’t find it elsewhere -_-. Nice darker amber body, yay. Strong malty aroma that ends up smelling like beet juice. More beet juice in the taste. Damn dry, nearly no hop presence, just a tiny bitterness. Slightly papery. Quite bad.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep amber color with thin creamy light brownish head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, grass and some dust. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toasted malt, follows fresh grassy and mild fruity with a bit too plain mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Very decent brew, much more than I expected...

Available again as a limited edition for 150 years anniversary of the Pivovarna Union brewery. Pours a dark amber color, topped with tan colored fluffy head. The aroma is sweet malts and spices. Not bad. The taste starts too sweet, followed by some bitterness. But it’s just not that good. It’s not bad, still drinkable, but... could be better.
