Tap at the brewpub. Almost black with nice creamy beige head. Chocolate, earthy coffee, light citrusy hops, hazelnuts, toffee, some dried plums and apricots. Almost medium sweet and bitter with a mineral dry touch in the finish which doesn’t really suit the beer. Medium bodied with almost creamy mouth coating feel. Nice one!

Tap at Oproer. Opaque Black/creme tan head. Big sweet roasted choco malts, coffee, rye softness, caramel syrup, toffee. Vegetal weedy hops. Medium sweet & bitter. Over medium body, soft carb. Nice but not a big impacting hop character.

On tap at OBF. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. A sweet chocolate and licorice nose, light pine. Very heavy on the black part, less on the IPA aspect, licorice, chocolate, roast, light pine and citrus. Solid.

Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, very dark brown to black with a beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty and a bit fruity aroma of milk chocolate, some coffee and and hints of tropical fruits. Sweetish, moderately roasty, only a little fruity taste of milk chocolate, coffee, some blackberry and hints of tropical fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice as a Porter, not really a BIPA to me.
