This NW style sour ale is a strong blond ale aged in chardonnay barrels for up to 12 months, then aged with dried white figs and lemon peel or up to 12 more months. Aromas of sweet figs, golden raisins, and citrus zest are the first to be noticed. Hints of white wine grapes, lemon peel, and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to a crisp lemon tartness in the finish that leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

Thank you for sharing BE RB Crew! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2016. Day 1. 2014 Vintage. Clear sparkling orange, little white head. Nose is acidic glue, USA sour puckering, some vinegar. Taste is sour glue, acidic, low vinegar, sour oak, very puckering, not getting the figs at all. Vinegar, puckering acid body. Bit too harsh for its own good, not getting the fruit but still good.

Bright fruits abound in this sour beer. Picked up a good portion of the Chardonnay and some mild figs. Medium bodied. Finish is quite sour with medium drying if the palate. Light funk and must throughout. Very good.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016, Day 1. Hazy orange color, small beige head. Aroma has huge herbal and spicy notes. Taste is sour plus herbal and spicy. Weird that nobody else gets the herbs or spices, or maybe I’m wrong, but it can’t get much worse than this imo. Yuk.

Draft @ Borefts 2016.
