This NW style sour ale is a strong blond ale aged in chardonnay barrels for up to 12 months, then aged with dried white figs and lemon peel or up to 12 more months. Aromas of sweet figs, golden raisins, and citrus zest are the first to be noticed. Hints of white wine grapes, lemon peel, and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to a crisp lemon tartness in the finish that leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

On tap at Borefts 2016. Clear amber a very dry sour. Some light wild strawberry flavour touch of biscuit otherwise its verging on the white wine vinegar. Yes a decent sour. Puckering.

Nicely tart, plenty of barrel in the taste, wood. Fig-flavors hard to identify. Still delicious.

23/IX/16 - on tap @ Borefts Bier Festival - BB: n/a (2016-1034) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear orange beer, creamy solid off-white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: funky, sourish, urine, pretty dirty smell. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, nice fruity start, but then a very dirty nasty flavour, infected, sourish, vinegar, earthy, unpleasant bitterness. I don't like this one at all... :(

Tap. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is candy, citrus, Brausetablette, sweet. Taste is the same. Again, too artificial for me.

Frisch säuerlicher Beginn. Angenehm fruchtig, weich, rund. Die Fruchtnoten sind wie bei fast allen Cascade Bieren perfekt. 10/10/10/10//10
