One day. One brewery. Seven thousand co-creators. Two hundred brewers.

The result? Electric India.

This beer is the bastard love child of the craft beer revolution. An unholy union between a Belgian Saison and an Indian Pale Ale; democratically brewed by our very own Equity for Punks shareholders.

Electric India is a hoppy saison brewed with fresh orange peel, lashings of heather honey, crushed black pepper corns and enthusiastically hopped with mountains of amarillo and nelson sauvin.

A beer for the people, by the people direct from the craft beer republic of BrewDog.

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2016. Slightly hazy, pale yellow with a white head. Fruity-grassy aroma of lemon peel, straw and pineapple. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity taste of lemon peel, pineapple, peach and grass, followed by a short, slightly bitter, quite dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!

33cl can from Beer52.com. A hazy straw coloured pour with a billowing white head; sour grainy farmyard aroma; rather watery with a metallic acidic taste; and a dry, almost chalky, finish with some acid citrus. Not a favourite.

Appearance- golden, plenty of bubbles rising, a one-finger foamy white head. Aroma- creamy malt, spices, citrus, coriander, sweet malt, yeast. Taste- creamy malt, peppery spice, honey in the background, hint of citrus fruit, juicy mouthfeel. Interesting, mostly about the pepper in the taste.

Keg at BrewDog Soho. Straw yellow, cloudy, with a fair bit of white head and loads of tick lacing. The spicy yeast rises above the citrus hops in the aroma. I get coriander and candy sugar along with grapefruit and lemon curd. Taste is tamer, sweet with gentle bitter edges and hints of the doughy yeast. I get a touch of the promised honey but none of the peppercorns. Lingering bittersweet finish with a sour note. Highly carbonated. Not my favourite BrewDog beer.
