Outmeal Stout. When creating the recipe for this beer, we bore in mind what one associates with oatmeal. Hence the base was laden with a bunch of oat flakes, roasted malts and roasted barley. The end result reflects this - intensive flavours, a coffee and dark chocolate aroma and a creamy texture. So we would not smother this, we added only as much hops as was needed to delicately balance the flavour.

Bottled@Rex, Umeå (backlog). Deep brown colour with a mediumsized creamy off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, some lactic notes, mild nuts, roasted malts and some liquorice to it. Flavour is roasted malts, mild lactic and chocolaty notes with some pleasant spiciness as well as dried dark fruits.

Bottle, 0.33l. Thick black pour with virtually no head. Nose is intense coffee, chocolate and liquor. Thin to medium body with lively carbonation. Somewhat thin on the tongue. Roasty bittersweet mouthfeel. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, caramel and licorice. Hints of vanilla. A bit grainy. Nicely smoked. Lasting finish, a bit dry and slightly bitter. Overall, very good stout. Would be even better with fuller body. Tasty.

Poured a murky medium brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is grainy oats sweet malts liqourice. The flavour is moderate liqouice bitter with a smooth dry sweet malt coffee liqourice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Dark, nicely roasted coffee, plenty of mouthfeel and flavor for its ABV. Carbonated and hopped just right. Bonus for awesome label, again.

Draft @ Gujzina. Brune foncée, col beige. Nez finement malté, grillé, rétro de sucre brun, bouquet grillé arrive bien en retrait compensé par une petite note épicée et de grains venant de l’avoine. Palais est malté, carafa, grillé, petite douceur, amertume sur la fin avec un côté de réglisse, fruits noirs de prune et pruneaux.

Opaque deep dark brown colour, small frothy tan head, recedes slowly, fair lacing. Shy nose, aroma dark roasted malts, milk chocolate, brown sugar. Smooth taste, light heavy sweet and light bitter, roasty, light chocolate. Sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate, medium body, watery to oily texture; soft carbonation, very smooth and tasty stout.

At BBF, pitch black color, coffee, metal and earth aroma, herbal and light coffee flavor dominat mellow herbal bitterness with just a smack of sweetness. Fairly nice.

Tap@Borefts 2016, Bodegraven - black pour with a tan head. Sweet and medium roasted malty aroma and taste with coffee, chocolate, caramel, light vanilla in the finish.
