The oxymoron of the style name could not fit beer to Rudeen’s taste. His deep mahogany black colour is not only for the looks but also hides a generous amount of chocolaty caramel roastiness. Hops gives it a huge fruity and resiny aroma and taste. It is creamy, refreshing and bitter at the same time. We advise you to close your eyes, smell and then taste this bold beer which marries stout, porter and a big IPA. A perfect balance between hops, mellow roastiness from the malt, creaminess and drinkability is something that we are especially proud of. Be careful! He bites!

Hindamiseks teen vaid ticki.

330ml bottle from herrklemann, thanks Klemens! Pours a dark mahogany brown with a huge beige head, well retained. Malty aroma, lots of roast, coffee, chocolate, caramel, pine, fruit. Taste has more balance but starts strong and malty, roast, coffee, caramel, chocolate, grapefruit and piney resinous hops follow, moderate bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Great BIPA.

Botte, 0.33l. Murky brown/red pour, thin off-white layer on top. Minimal lacing. Nose is roasty with nice grassy hop character. Medium body, medium to high carbonation, a bit fizzy mouthfeel. Roasty bitter taste with very subtle sweet notes beneath. Aroma is roasted malts, grassy hops, slight citrus. Woody. Quite herbal. Slightly liquory aftertaste, a bit warming. Medium finish, dry. Overall, tasty. Really good black IPA, one worth going back to.

On tap at Lajbah, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel malt and subdued piney hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops, toasted caramel malt and bready notes. More subdued than the In the Night. Pleasant but underwhelming.
