0,5 l bottle. 5,6 ABV. Pours dark brown, nice deep red if you look at at directly towards the light. Big light tan head, dissipates quite quickly and leaves only a tiny ring of foam. Aroma of toasted malt, some caramel and licorice, a hint of chocolate and dried fruit. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. Finish is short, some rather unpleasant toasted malt at the back of the tongue.

Draught@HBF2018. Deep brown colour, close to black with a huge foamy beige head, which leaves lace. Aroma is roasted, some chocolate, mild dried fruits, some burnt sugar and leathery tones. Flavour pretty much consists of the same elements as the aroma, but creates a rather nice body for being only 4.7 % ABV.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20171103) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel, toasted malts and lightly liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, burnt malts, grass, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, ashy, sweet and bitter. A tasty sweet schwarzbier.

0.5 l bottle from Pivoteka. Retro tasting session by Hrabren’s Choice. Shared with L. S. D. Dark brown wth reddish-ochre tint, small tan head. Roasty, caramel, nutty and light chocolate aromas. Sweet and roasty. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, light roasty finish. Classic dunkel, but a bit light.

Pours deep ruby, almost black color with medium sized, slightly off-white head. Smell of roasted malts, caramel and smoke. Medium to full body, softly carbonated. Texture is watery at first, soon turning to oily. Lovely bittersweet taste, nicely balanced. Aroma is rich. Lots of flavours. Roasted malts, caramel, toffee, coal, smoke, candy, dark fruits and berries. Lovely. Slight alcohol presence in the mouthfeel. Finish is dry. Overall, very nice brew. Tasty and nicely balanced.
