Pale Ale je tradicionalni angleški stil piva, ki ga v njegovi domovini poznajo pod imenom Bitter.
Varijo ga v treh različicah, ki se na prvi pogled razlikujejo zgolj po odtenkih značilne bakrene barve, bolj opazna razlika pa je v alkoholni stopnji.
V pivovarni Tektonik smo zvarili Pale Ale, ki se spogleduje s tradicionalno različico Extra Special Bitter, a smo ga bogato odišavili s slovenskim hmeljem Styrian Cardinal. Ta s subtilno in prijetno sadno aromo ananasa dopolni značilno zemeljsko, travnato aromo agleških hmeljev.

Bottled, from Za Popen’t Pivoteka, Ljubljana. Hazy amber, huge, coarse, lively head. Piney citrusy melon aroma. Tart with medium body and rounded, sprizy moutfeel. Some hay and canteloupe. Mid bitter finish. Questionable.

Bottle, 330 ml at Brežice beer fest. Pours cloudy dark golden, white head. Fruity, citrus, malty, light to moderate hoppy bitter finish. Not bad.

Brez presezkov,aroma hmeljnata,travna,nenavadna.Okus plain,razvije se moderirana grenkoba,neizrazita.Suh pookus,srednja karbonacija.

Bottle, 0.33l & on tap, 0.50l. Clear amber color with large soapy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, wheat and herbs. Taste starts light sweet grainy with caramel note, following is sour citric and herbal, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is moderate bitter and mild peppery. Light to medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Bottled version is lightly infected, not fresh at all, in general only mediocre brew, while draft version is not better and pretty lager-like...

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Darker golden coloured, big off-white head, some apples in the nose. Sweet malty, light nutty, red apples, some herbal hoppiness and short bitterish finish. Interesting in a way (accidentally or not?) but all in all not so good brew.

0.33 l bottle shared with Marko and Ogi. Thanks Ogi. Murky dark golden with medium off white head. Strange aroma, dough, medicinal maybe. Light body, cardboard, strange bitter finish, unpleasant.

Thanks Ogi! Shared with him, Hrabren and Anja T. Misty dark golden body, honeyish, thick, big lasting thick white head. Interesting tart appley aroma, toasty malty notes, very light yeastiness. Strange creamy taste, light toasty / nutty, light bitter, but the aftertaste is bitter and loooong. This is old (uporabno najmanj do 12 03 16 eh... shouldn’t be), or just off. Again, hope to try it again, fresher perhaps or on tap, might be another victim of the bottling line - and I was really excited to try these new hops.

Pours a fairly clear orange amber color, topped with a relatively big and very lasting white solid head. Mild fruity start, citrusy a bit, later dominated by full grassy notes. Taste has initial sweet feel, followed by a moderate hoppy bitterness with some herbal character, which can also be noted in the lasting but gentle aftertaste. Very fresh, full taste and very drinkable. Escellent job.

Clear amber golden colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, malts, straw. Malty flavour, quite sweet, bitter hops. Light bitter, sweet malty finish.
