0,1l from tap at Salon Piva, Bratislava shared by Powy, big thanks. amber almost clear color, medium big white head. smells parfumy, light caramel, light oranges. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of pines, caramel, sweetness, oranges, grassy. finishes lightly bitter with notes of caramel, spices and oranges. okish, rather on the heavy malty/sweet side, not overly fruity / hoppy. okish, but nothing I need to drink again.

0.33l bottle. Hazy amber color with medium creamy white head. Aroma: rich fruity, grapefruits, mango, pine, caramel, pineapple. Taste: juicy, grapefruit, caramel, resins. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Higher bitterness with long aftertaste of resins and caramel. Nice balance and drinkability.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Cuso/Gutrhnar, thanks to both! Nice amber coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, light popcorn buttery nose. Diacetyl, dryish candy, notes of caramel and weak hops with short bitter finish. Had it also from the tap at Žil Verne Bratislava but the rate is quite similar. Just some perfumed fruits and stronger hoppy taste are different than the bottled version.

Thanks Ogi! Clear coppery reddish-amber body, big thick lasting off white head. The aroma starts of unfortunately buttery, damn... bloody diacetyl... on some candyish sweetish malt. No hops in presence. Tastes like, well, candy, generic candy, candy flavored candy, only dry and ending in a nice bitterness. Why do I have a feeling that this is much better on tap? In this shape and form, right now, this is a sub-par IPA, which saddens me looking at other ratings. Still drinkable, but damn, this is missing nearly all of its hoppiness. Is this a failed new batch? Ogi says it wasn’t much better of on tap... Damn. Hopefully, I’ll retry it in proper shape and form and then rerate.

Tap. A great beer, high attenuation, medium-thin body, medium-high carbonation, very easy drinking. Medium-low caramelly malty backbone and medium-high hops bitterness with lots of juicy fruity hops character. Very tasty.

On tap at Clock Block, Bratislava. Long (well, 2 months) awaited beer. I’m wondering whether Matt did great job in Karpat. It looks good, clear dark amber color with head which is there for 5 minutes now at least. No wet socks in aroma, but it’s not exceptional either. I find some unusual sweetness in taste right after the sip. To be honest, I may actually like it? Finish is long and bitter. Good job Matt! Keep going and you may beat your Galaxy IPA
