Bottled 06.10.2105, BB 06.10.2016. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells licorice, roast, earthy, light vanilla, light coffee, light wood, some herbs, a bit peppery, spices, nice smell. medium body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, light vegetables, some roast, chocolate, spices, peppery, sourish. finishes quite dry and sourish with notes of coffee and licorice. has a bit of an unclean note on the taste / drinks a bit harsh. Overall still good beer though.

33 cl bottle courtesy of Sebar. Dark brown to black color, short brownish head. Aroma of toasted malts, dark malts, licorice and hints of coffee. Sweetish taste, fairly balanced, still carbonation, light body, smooth finish. Nice, tasty.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Hop Burns & Black. Pours deep brownish black with a thick, creamy beige head. Great aroma, lots of well roasted malts, cocoa, dried berries, raisins. Medium sweet flavor with further hard roast, moderate baking cocoa, slight earthy bitterness, dark fruits with just the faintest hint of tang to them. Light to medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish, more chocolatey malts, dark fruits, slight ash, earth, dried dark fruits. Pretty solid porter overall. There’s a lot of flavour packed into the 5%.
