Servida en tulipa, color dorado cobrizo, turbia, espuma blanca compacta de mediana retención. Aroma delicioso a levadura belga, pan blanco, cereales, malta, especias, cáscara de plátano, naranja, mandarina, muy complejo y agradable aroma, rico en matices. En boca entra suave, es redonda, equilibrada, algo astringente, floral, notas de malta, cereales, frutas con hueso (albaricoque, melocoton...), platano...En definitiva, otra delicia trapense. Estupenda

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude, Veurne, Belgium. A golden/orange coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Sweet, malty, yeasty, fruity, spice taste/aroma. Not overly complex but it's fine.

Bottle.Clear golden colour with small white head.Aroma of yeast,bananas and spicy note of coriander aswell,gassy and lively taste with mild finish.

Golden beer, white head. Smells fruity, a little bready. Flavour has some of the same. Banana, bread, a little spice, a dash of white wine. Good body, nicely balanced, veeeery decent.

Auch wenn es die Brauerei angeblich nicht mehr gibt, habe ich noch eine Flasche dieses Biers bekommen. Es ist eigentlich ganz ok mit den brotigen und weihnachtlichen Gewürz-Aromen, allerdings wirkt es irgendwie zu brav. Es sticht nicht wirklich heraus und geht neben den belgischen Abteibieren und amerikanischen Craftbieren unter. Trotzdem finde ich es schade um dieses einzige nicht europäische Trappistenbier.

33 cl bottle. Honey gold pour. Yeasty malt aroma. Notes of banana, white wine and mild citrus. Earthy, bitter notes on backend. Decent.

Bottle 33cl. poured into a teku glass. Hazy amberbrown colour, small fizzy off-white head, flat carbonation, some lacing. Aroma sweet and roasted malts, caramel. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, honey, some liquorice. Medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, nice.

The aromas are vinous, caramel malt, yeast, and a little fruit. Flavors are similar to nose, yeast comes through a little more and it's slightly on the dry side also with some bitter. Medium body slightly chalky finish. Lucky to have been able to try one of these beers.

An interesting, unique Belgian Ale, something we need a lot more of in the US in 2022. Zesty hop balance, bright yeast esters. Balanced, easy drinking for the style. Rustic earthy hints, but clean and bright on the palate. Really good.
