Naughty 90 Oaked IPA aged in Templeton Rye Barrels

He ventures to the Naughty Temple, weaving through its intricate web of slithering sensations, while bitter lovers dance playfully upon his tongue. Slowly, slipping into madness, he surrenders himself to the sweet sip of seduction. As he emerges in the wake of ecstasy, he is greeted with a warm, tender kiss. A wave of bliss washes over him, and happiness is all that exists.

Bottle at Endo’s house, 25/05/13, thanks to the host with the most. Bottle states 7.2% ABV. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head that clears edgeward. Nose is bourbon forward, toffee, rye, sugars, booze. Taste intitially lambasts you with a big boozey hit followed by sweet sugars, coconut, wood, bourbon and toffee. Full bodied - surprisingly so for 7%, slightly cloying and boozey in the finish. Ok but too boozey, bourbon overload, the balance could be better and the sweetness tempered. I’d class this as an American strong ale or perhaps speciality grain, certainly not an IPA or to be specific an American IPA.

22oz bomber courtesy of Brian. Unfiltered brown-orange body, oily beige head. Complex whiskey, barrel aroma. Full bodied, but mellow and relatively easy drinking. Great flavor, lots of woody, barrel tones. Caramel booze tones, but never overwhelming. Unique, quality beer
