Cask (@Strands Hotel, Nether Wasdale): Deep, deep amber coloured, firm brownish creamy head; roasted malt and milk chocolate in the nose, with a subtle fruitiness underneath; not very dry bitter flavour, pretty light bodied; short and slight bitter finish with delicate chocolatey aromas. Half on cask at Charlieโ€™s Bar, Copenhagen. Served at a perfect ambient temperature. Tan-yellowish foam under a body that was black as pitch. Faint roasted aroma. Sweet black malts in flavour followed by notes of salty butter. Short bitter finish. Surprisingly watered (02.08.2007).
