Half pint @ the brewery. Head is tanned, medium, good retention. Colour is black, opaque. Aroma is roasted tones, coffee, chocolate, dark bread crust, bit caramel. Taste is medium malty base, roasted tones, coffee, cocoa, smoked wood, dark bread, plums, dry on the palate, soft carbonation, very good, enjoyed for sure.

Pours a dark brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is coffee grounds with some liquorice and ash. Roasted malt and coffee bean taste, bitter dark chocolate, some dark fruit flavours and a roasted finish. Quite a nice stout.

Cask at The George, Croydon. It pours deep brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is coffee, roasted malt, soy sauce and some plastic. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, varnish, leather and milky coffee, with a dry finish. Medium body, low carbonation and soft mouth-feel. An easy drinking stout.
