Cask @ Richard John Blackler, Liverpool during the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2015. Darker amber in colour with a creamy head. Crisp tasting despite being very dry tasting in the palate.

Cask half in my local Wetherspoons on 3rd April 2015. Amber pour with a white topping. More malts than hops with a toffee molasses sort of aroma and taste, some fruitiness in the background. I liked it, hence this. Gravity poured half-pint on 18th April 2015 at the Stourbridge CAMRA Beer Festival. Still like it!

Cask @ The Linen Hall JDW [010415]
Dark amber, clear, thin white film
Aroma of soft caramel, slight toffee, little aroma
Taste of caramel malts, soft fruits, dab of toffee, twiggy bitter hops, some black tea, fairly malty
Palate - Light medium body, fairly sweet, bitter earthy hops, bit sticky. Finish as more earthy dry bitterness, long bitter linger
Overall - Not that great. Poor show at this Spoons today with just this and Abbot on

Sir John Hawkshaw. Spoons. Cask. Clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Nice condition. Trace of toffee in the light clean malts. Mild esters in the mid. Ripe orange on the backend overlaid bu a good dose of bitterness and a trace of lemon. Dry finish. Decent.

Cask hand pull Hamilton Hall Spoons. Clear mid brown beer lasting cream head. Fruity malt best bitter. Not a huge amount of hop. Some English hedgerow fruitiness. Brown and twiggy. Ok condition. It is what it is. A brown slightly malty slightly fruity British best bitter.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Bright golden amber with a tight cream head; sweet malty aroma; soft chewy toffee taste with some treacle; then a dry finish with a lingering herbal bitterness. Satisfying.
