500mL bottle Fall 2022, #829/1200, drunk 6/3/23. Maple-cherry-auburn. Clear. Small, almost no head, immediately fading to nothing. Smells like a bit of maple but there's good acidity and light oak. There is a strong maple character with pepper from the fermentation. No alcohol at all, no roast. Hazelnut, coffee, maple butter. Soft, malty, sweet for sure with plentiful maple. I think it has enough acidity, though it's close and pushing it on the sweetness. Perhaps had I known, I'd let this sit another year or four. But still a solid, clean, mostly balanced beer with good barrel character and interesting notes all around.

375ml bottle pours rootbeer brown with some off white head that faded very quick. Nose has sumac and witchhazel, rootbeer, cream soda, marzipan, caramel. Flavor has more caramel and maple and cream soda, booze now, brandy or cognac. Boozy, oily, sticky finish. 2018 bottle shows some age, but I dig.

2015 bottling, at Lawson’s. Dirty, deep amber. No head. Nose has booze soaked raisins. Barrel aged maple. Some notes of well oxidised sherry or port. Some maraschino cherry. Some fruity, cocoa heavy chocolate. Taste is full on sweet, with some boozy, vinous bitterness. Silky mouthfeel. Pretty warming. Low carbonation. Boozy warmth lingers at the end. Delicious.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours out a amber color with a ring of a head. Nose is big sweet maple syrup some bourbon barrel vanilla notes and some oak. Tatse is more of the nice sweet maple syrup and a will balanced bourbon barrel.
Bit one note with tons of maple syrup but quite enjoyable in small sips.

Bottle courtesy of HenrikO. Pours hazy golden brown with a small offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissiapting. Smell is malty with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, maple syrup, red pears, hay, minerals, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, malty and slightly fruity. Mouthfeel is viscous, round, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with sweet bread and maple syrup. Bit one note with tons of maple syrup but quite enjoyable in small sips.

Bottle c&c from jredmond. Pours sort of darkish ruddy maple. No real head. Aroma is heat and maple and treacle, and arguably it’s a bit plummy. Hints of Belgian yeast/spice. Quite an aroma! Fullest body. It’s what SA Triple Bock should have been. Somehow heat isn’t an issue here. Very warming.
