On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - dark brown and bright. Cola really. Nice head. Nose - creamy chocolate and slight adhesive note. Taste - more chocolate with nuts. The chilli comes through at the end. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent beer. Chilli slowly builds. Not a big fan of chilli in beer.

Cask at the Coal Hole on the Strand, 16/12/14. Dark chestnut brown with a well appointed khaki covering that retains well. Nose is light spice, biscuit, baking powder, toffee, dark malts, light cocoa rub. Taste comprises very subtle chilli, chocolate evident, light green pepper, Bourbon biscuit, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth feel, good condition, light roast in the close. Ok offering, nowt too exciting but drinkable. Chilli very subtle and definately have this down as a porter as opposed to SHV!

Cask at the Haymarket. Pours clear pale brown, thin off-white head. Aromas of milk chocolate, light roast. Taste has the merest chilli tickle, disappears quite quickly. More chocolate. An odd one.
