Pours a clear red brown colour with a small beige head. Bready malt, and caramel aroma. A similar bready malt taste, some light caramel sweetness and berry fruit flavours. A moderate herby bitter finish.

Cask at the Green Man, JDW - London. Pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds some toasted malts, brown bread and light caramel. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of graham crackers, toffee, more brown bread, ripe berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. OK balance in the finish, with more toasty bread, minimal bitterness, ripening fruits. Enjoyable.

Really pleased to see this, an old friend from many years ago: 6th Nov 2014, hand-pulled half-pint at the 24th Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival. Copper with darker ruby hint, wispy head on this pour. Aroma is toffee apple like, as is the taste, both of which have a fruity semi-sweet feel to them. Medium bodied and very easy to drink.

From cask at The Crystal Palace. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty, breadish and towards caramelish. Overripe fruity, breadish and toffee malty. Vague liqourice note. Medium dry, bitter and toasted malty finish.

Cask @ JDW Elgin 181012
Copper caramel reddish brown, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma - caramel, toffee malts, soft cereal malts
Taste - caramel malts, soft toffee, soft toasted malts, touch of butter biscuit malt, light English bitter hops, good flavour but a little bit too subtle
Palate - soft carb, thin to medium body, Finish of dark caramel malts, soft bitter hop finish
Overall - More of a premium bitter to me. Pretty OK

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Very dark brown, lasting beige head. It’s a sweetish biscuit strong bitter some caramel without being too diacetyl. Very good biscuit. Malty aroma. It’s quite tasty and pretty decent. Drinkable. Good biscuit. Bit of dryness on end but I do like the malt.
