Bottle courtesy of the brewers themselves. Pours hazy orangish yellow with a big frothy and fizzy white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and slightly funky with wheat crackers, pink grapefruit juice, blood orange juice, freshly cut grass, dry soil, gooseberries, passionfruit, pine needles, white grape skins, barnyard, unripe mango and lemon balm. Taste is bitter, fruity and funky with crackers, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, passionfruit, gooseberries, grape skins, lemongrass, pine needles, chives, barnyard, Thai basil, lemon balm, dill, water melon rinds, pepper corns, lemon zest and orange zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter, fruity and funky with crackers, grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, orange zest, lemon zest, water melon rinds, dry soil, barnyard, grapefruit rinds and hints if chives. Very refreshing and perhaps too fresh. Would love to get another bottle to try when the brett has had some more time to make it really funky.
