Many breweries procure their hops right here in the Northwest. But this beer features the Galaxy hop from Australia, a country famously populated by England’s cast out convicts. Cast Out IPA employs these hops aggressively from hop back to dry hopping stages. Yet the result is a balanced and bronzy ale, with medium hop bitterness complemented by moderate maltiness, showcasing aromas and flavors reminiscent of passion fruit.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Paint thinner and orange dominate the nose. Sour and baby sick on the palate, another improperly imported Oregon beer to Japan...why am I not surprised. Extremely astringent finish with more paint thinner and chemicals. Drain pour. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cast Out on 03 Jul 2016 at 19:00 - Score: 2. Original review text: Likely infected, thanks Farmers....get your shit together. Baby sick and paint thinner....

Tap @ Growler Guys. Bright golden color with a modest white head. Aroma is hoppy; citrus and floral. Very strong bitters, noticeably galaxy hops in here. Lightly fruity sweet, but overwhelmed by the heavy bitters.

42nd Floor Tasting. Thanks to our host. Almost clear yellow - gold beer, residual white head. Palate is smooth, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, a little creamy sweetness. Hops bring touches of pine and hop spice, citric peel and a trace of lemon. A weird bitter note emerges before the lemony citric finish. Decent despite the brief skewed bitterness.

Bottle big thanks to Fergus. It pours clear golden with medium, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, fragrant, juicy, apricot, lychee, tangerine, passion fruit and stare. The taste is crisp, bitter, sticky fruits, straw, grassy, citrus peel, tangerine, passion fruit, grapefruit, light alcohol warmth and white pepper with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff all round.

Lightly resinous on the finish, with strong grassy bitterness, pale bread, more rindy citrus. Good stuff.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is doughy, peachy, tropical fruit, minerally. Pours bright golden with a medium white head that leaves a little lace. Medium level bitterness with a nice tropical peachy hop profile. Alcohol is damn near completely hidden for an ABV approaching Imperial territory. A little thin maybe. Good stuff, though.

50cl bottle pours out with a clear pure deep gold body that supports a near white head. The aroma offers up mango and pineapple and some spicy onion hops with a nice mildly sweet maltiness in the background. The taste delivers juicy mango hops with plenty of spicy bitter onion dank hoppiness creating a tasty balance. To midway it picks up a nice grounding earthy tea sensation that takes this a little deeper and a little yummier.
