Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Clear deep amber beer, a few white bubbles. Fair bit of esters, smooth at least. A little paper in the malts. Trace of tangy fruits. Light dry finish. Passable.

Bottle shared on Level 42 14/11/2016. Batch 2. Many thanks to Big Dave for this one. A caramel amber coloured pour with a a halo of loose white head. Aroma is woody, toasted malts, hint of whisky, toffee. Flavour is composed of frothy creamy toffee, vanilla, little toasted oak. Palate is medium sweet, forthy, creamy. Not bad.

Bottle at Level 42, thanks to the Wingmane, 14/11/16 (batch 2). Rich amber with a decent beige swirl. Nose is toffee, twigs, biscuit, straw, faint oaky barrel. Taste comprises subtle whisky, brown bread, fruit rinds, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not unpleasant but on the whelming side.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Dave. Pours clear copper with a slim, creamy white topping. The nose holds some dried, leathery berries, a little toffee, earth, toasted brown bread. Medium sweet flavour with nice ripe berries, a little grape and cherry, more brown bread, nips of caramel. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with light warmth, more bready malts, gooey toffee, ripe fruits. Good ESA.

Batch 2 thanks to Dave, consumed at level 42. It pours clear brown with a thick light tan head. The aroma is sweet, musty, quite farty, brown bread, porridge, leather, toffee and a hint of vanilla. The taste is sweet, sort of dry, wood, leather, sort of fruity, permanent marker pen, light solvent, some blended malt, tannin and some astringency through the finish. Medium body and moderate carabontion. Not the most fun drinking experience. Messy.
