Bottle courtesy of 77ships, thanks! Hazy golden color, huge white head, solid lacing. Aroma of earthy burnt caramel. Taste is herbal, slightly medicinal caramel.

Bottle, tasting at Appellation Wines. Hazy golden body with a thin off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of salted cornflakes and lemon. Flavour of straw, grapefruit and a salty finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Not particularly interesting. Tastes like a salty Pilsener.

1st bottle of 20 at beer nerds gathering at Appellation Wines Comely Bank on 28/08/14. Thanks to either stuu666 or allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden orange and hazy with a quickly disappearing head. Nose - cereal, with just a touch of lemon. Taste - orange, then cereal and a salty finish. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - a synergy beer. It’s parts weren’t great but enjoyable overall.

Bottle, Cheers Stuu666! Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aromas of a honeyish sweetness, light lemon. Not very pilsner-y. Taste is more citrus, rich mouthfeel, dry finish. Bit odd.

Strange ’imperial Pilsener’ with glutamates added. Orangey blonde with cream white head, malt sweetness, minerals, grainy, subdued fruitiness. Grainy, smooth palate, vaguely sweetish, mineral-like, soft flowery hop bitterness in the finish. Though an interesting concept, I fail to taste anything remotely umami in this - I had expected at least accents of olives, soy sauce or something like that, but the little taste this beer has, has nothing to do with umami (although I doubt if adding such a taste would actually make this beer better). Still: more glutamates next time!

Bottle at Gents Bierfestival Nr 5 Pours blonde, rather clear . Small white head . Smell is fleshy , almost . Taste is bit bitter, grains , sweet-ish notes . A fruity undertone . My first contact with the famous umami taste, and it was a nice one .

Medium but stable yellow-pinkish head over clear orange-copper beer. Coriander, stale honey, old cookies, dried leafy herbs. Oxydized, stale malts, old cookies. Finish has some indifferent bitterness. Very slick, medium bodied at best, lame. Umami is supposed to mean ’delicious’. So?

750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG III. Personal contribution. Thx for picking up tderoeck! Golden, white head. Grapefruit hops nose mixed with honey, tangerine & something saline. Taste is white grapes, pine hops tangerine, fruity bitterness, faint lingering saline aftertaste, faint cornbread, substantial body. Interesting, quite nice.
