(Cask at Royal Oak, Borough, London 25 Apr 2007) Very dark brown colour with mahogany notes, small beige head. Malty, roasted nose with slight hints of yeast and loads of citrussy hops. Malty, roasted taste with distinct notes of bittersweet, citrussy hops. Medium body with a slightly thin mouthfeel. A bit different, with focus more on hops than on chocolate. But nice it is.

Cask. Slightly sweet. Quite distinct liquorice flavour. Also a hint of nuttiness which I dont find suits this style very well. On the other hand it doesnt bother me too much.
