Draft @ Hoppy Loft. Malt restent discrets

Bottle, tasting at Appellation Wines. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of passionfruit and orange. Flavour of aspirin, orange, soft malt and lemon rind. Medium body with a frothy texture. Light fizz. A fairly typical Mikkeller IPA, not really getting the expected herb/spice from the shiso.

75cl bottle shared at the beer nerd meeting at Appellation Wines Comley Bank. Thanks to either stuu666 or allmyvinyl. Appearance - hazy orange with a small head. Nose - oranges or apricots and honey. Beginning to wonder why it’s called ’bitter’. Taste - loads of orange fruit with orange pith on the end. Ah, it is quite bitter. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a dry tangy finish. Overall - challenging and very tangy. At the finish up, it definitely was bitter.

Bottle, cheers Stuu666! Pours golden amber with a thin white head. Big resin and pine nose, some grapefruit. Taste is actually quite balanced, not as bitter as expected! Good.
