330ml bottle, 8.8 % abv, trade with Skinnyviking. Shared with Finn. Rocky espresso head leaving crocheted lacing behind. Coal black body. Dark malty smell of chocolate, dough, and liquorice. Similar taste of dark malts with liquorice to the fore, backdrop of oatmeal. Lingering aftertaste, slightly roasted. Soft in the mouth. Well bodied and lovely to drink (at Finn’s in Tromsø 27.10.2015).

bottle from ølbutikken. pitch dark, smooth light brown head. sweet toasted roasted malty aroma. more round and buttery than dry and bitter.Flavor is roasted malts, faint sugary note, faint salty note, stuff plays reasonably well together, and the flavor profile is full enough to make it seem quite solid.

Bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop, Amsterdam, had this at Camping Het Rieven, Landsmeer Nr Amsterdam, Netherlands, Tuesday 6th October 2015 This has stood for over 24 hours but still gushed like Vesuvius, I lost over 3/4 of the bottle grrrr..... not happy. What was left (still not happy) was black with a large frothy, sticky head. Soft in the mouth, a little bit of espresso but with some American hops. It’s a nice stout but I am still angry about it gushing, grrrr..... It loses a point for me losing about ?3-4 of beer. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter fantastic flavor. Long great heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice roast and chocolate and just a hint of lactoses and Vanilla. World class brew.

Bottle. More or less pitch black, with a dense, finger-thick dark beige to light tan head. The aroma is roasted, with some vanilla and alcohol, dark chocolate and a touch of licorice. The flavor is much more on the licorice side, with a nice chocolate and coffee touch. Vanilla hints. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with a smooth carbonation. Long finish. Tasteful this one, indeed, but it’s perhaps a bit heavy on the licorice. 150522

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen, (03/11/2014) - pours black with a brown head. Aroma and taste is a mix of sweet and roasted malts, some sweet chocolate, caramel, oats, some discernible grassy and herbal hoppy notes going on as well, pretty nice brew.

Bottle at Pub Winston. Opaque black/brown color, small beige head. Aroma has cocoa and hints of earthyness. Medium-bodied. Chocolate, dark honey and bitterness. Light earthyness also in the flavor. Interesting but probably not in its peak.
