Captain’s Log: In the farthest reaches of the universe we experienced a phenomenon called Total Eclipse. A Total Eclipse can have different colors and encase you completely to block out all light from the universe. This eclipse came suddenly, turned everything blacker than black around us, then vanished into thin air a few moments later leaving only the memory behind.

Tap @ TapHouse, CPH. Black with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, dusty, spices and mint? Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, mint, spices, herbs, caramel, medium sweet, vegetables, liquorice, hop and a little bitter.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a light brown head. Sweetish roast aroma, some dark dried fruit. Rich body, an initial sweet maltiness, some licorice and then some harsh ashes. Not bad at all though. 041114

[9/26/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Black with a brown head. Aroma full of dark chocolate. Great sweet flavor with dark chocolate and some coffee. Full-bodied. Great.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Roasted dark malty, solid hoppy. More like a black ipa than oatmeal stout. Smooth, roasted and solid hops fruity. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish.

Keg at Borefts 6, day 1, 26/09/14. Black with moderate tan spotting and edgework. Nose is roasty, dark toffee fudge, spice, chocoalte, brown sugar, earthy hops. Taste comprises earthy roastings, light pine, spice, dark toffee, light booze, touch BA effect. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying roasted finale. Ok impy.

Tap at Borefts 2014. Pours near black with a thin beige head. Aroma of licorice, caramel, chocolate, soy and roast. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
