Black beer, thick foamy brown head. Earthy chocolate malt in the aroma. taste follows suit with a bit of vanilla there too. Creamy in the mouth with a bit of fizz on the tongue. Not the richest stout you'll have but it's distinct and tasty.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo. Pours black with an initially huge tan head, reducing quickly to a long lasting head of about 3mm. Aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee, malt, and ash. Not particularly sweet, and quite a high level of bitterness. Medium body, sticky thickish texture. Quite highly carbonated mouthfeel.

Keg at BD Sheps, 09/05/16. Pitch black with a big ole tan head. Nose is light roast, charr, earthy hop, cocoa powder, toffee. Taste comprises light roast malt, raisens, cocoa rub, toasted brown sugar, burnt biscuit, tinge of lacticity. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a lightly hopped back note. Decent enough stout.

Cask at Cloisters. Pours clear dark brown with a thick tan head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet, milky coffee, then roasted coffee on the finish. A little thin, and could have done with some spritz.

Keg at small bar bristol for the tap takeover. Aroma is really dry roast coffee, mineral, charred wood, charcoal. Opaque black coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Flavour is roasted Batley, milky sweet sugars, milky coffee, lactose, wood and burnt toast. Don’t get much hops at all. Palate is mid sweet and rounded, like a nitro stout in the mouth, creamy and milky. Little lingering char.
