Tasting at Matt's
Dark purple colour. Smell of mushroom and berries. Aggressively sour, some juice, also earthy, truffle. Vinegar. Whoever says "balsamic" has no notion.
Powerful mess.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy purple-ish pink with a small pink head. Aroma is intense on the balsamic, with green peppers, and dark red fruits. Flavour induces a scrunchy face -- holy shit is this acidic and vinegary, with intense green peppers, balsamic notes, and acidic red fruits. This is nearly undrinkable. I've never had a beer that induced such a distorted scrunchy face as this one.

Bottle split at CBC Islo Matteo ciao, thanks to LKS, 20/02/17. Reddish purple with a crimson cap. Nose is pissy citrics, funk, damp hay, red berry skins, tarte berry vinegar. Taste comprises red berry balsams, sharp blueberries, funky, damp alleyway, big acidic bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a puckering climax and vinegar rise. A bracing sour for sure but the balance isn't nailed down ... a touch too much of the vinegar strokes here !

Bottle at Matteo’s shared by Leighton. It pours cloudy deep pruple with a small purple-white head. The aroma is tart, bright, tangy, berry skin, plum, vimto and earth. The taste is crisp, crazy tart, sharp acidity, lemon sherbet, big mouth - pucker, berry skin, light jammy/juicy vibe, granny smith apple and drying wood with a drying, tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I do find it enjoyable, however it is rather sharp and acidic. Decent stuff anyhow.

Bottle shared in London / big thanks to Bruce! Pours deep bloody purple with a frothy, white-pink head. Nice aroma, with sharp berries, raspberry, lemon. Light sweet flavour with sharp acidity, more fleshy and lightly juicy berries, raspberry, some leather. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation, quenching finish, damn sharp, with more raspberry, boysenberry I guess, woody dryness, lemon juice. Another super sharp De Garde. The juiciness just about saves it.
