A well-balanced amber ale with a good kick of fresh ginger and bitter finish – refreshingly different. The name comes from a Copperhead (‘Copperheid’ in Scots) which is a piece of ‘aid climbing’ kit, famous on scary routes up El Capitan in California’s Yosemite.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden/amber body with a fluffy off-white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of ginger beer, grated carrot and and copper. Flavour of watery ginger, spices and cherry tomato. Thin body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Fizzy. Thin with a big ginger hit. I think a stronger version of this would better support the ginger flavour.
