18/2/2019. Cask at the Crosse Keys, City of London. Pours dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, nut, dried fruit and s hint of sweet coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, soft carbonation. Slight tartness in finish. Not bad, didn’t seem like a 4.9% mild though.

Cask at Swan, Farnborough. First time in a long time that this pub has had a guest ale that's not a Gold or Bitter. Malty aroma with drinking chocolate hints. Very dark chestnut. Not quite opaque. Thin washing up liquid bubbles head. Dark chocolate. Some liquorice then comes through. A little dark fruits and malts. So bitter with a not overly sweet streak. Thin bodied. Light. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Exceeded expectations. Enjoyable chocolatey Mild.
