75 cl bottle @ RIP Laru camp. Bottled 23.2.2016, BBE 02/2017
Aroma has fruits, biscuits, funky yeasty notes and some fruit candy. Flavour has citrus, funky yeasty notes, some grapefruit and mellow herbal hops. Also some bretta. Rather typical "American saison."

750ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Bottled 23.02.16. Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of baking yeast, ripe fruits, spices, hints of citrus and earthiness. Taste is smooth, slightly yeasty and ripe fruity with hints of earthiness, citrus and stuffy breadiness. Finish is slightly stuffy, yeasty and earthy with hints of ripe fruits and spices. Decent.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Gaff. Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy malts, mild to medium sweet. Spicy mid. Dry floral and a touch of bitterish herb. Light dry crisp finish. Not bad but nowt special either.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at the Bottle Shop Bermondsey way back when. The nose has some citrus aspect, lemon peel, dried hay. Medium sweet flavour with notes of peach, doughy wheat bread, light bitter hay, white grape. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, pretty smooth, more peach and white grape, wheat bread, tangerine. Lovely stuff.

Bottle at Leighton’s place. 8/12/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is light grains, saison yeast, little banana phenols, straw. Flavour is composed of rounded base grains, wheaty, doughy, bready grains, banana, yeast. Palate is semi sweet, crisp finish, highish carbonation little flabby. Not bad. Little chalky.

Sampled from bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared by Joes. Very hazy cloudy yellow color, small white head. Aroma reminds me of a weizen: wheat, yeast, banana and light peach. Taste lightly malts, wheat, again yeast, banana-ish and peach, sweetness and perhaps a hint of clove. Decent to medium body, smooth texture, medium carbonation. Ok beer hut is this really a saison? Not in my book..

Keykeg at Cambridge Beer Festival 2016. Yellow, hazy. Small film of white head. Smells odd... a bit of season yeast but also rubber, banana and a hint of lamb. Tastes perfect at first: that sweet yeasty hit, wow. But it fades. Short finish, although the gentle but pervasive carbonation is nice. I’ve had a few saisons lately that were overspiced... But this one’s too muted. Not the best beer by this incredible brewery.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, or is it Gonzo Beer, I get mixed up. This says Spring - Summer, and is a big 750ml bottle. Hazy gold colour with a white head. Aroma floral and herbs, taste light sweet. Easy to drink on a hot spring night.
